Monday - Complete Worksheet "Creating Expressions

Tuesday - Open notebook/Open Binder quiz on Expressions. And if time allows intro to one step equations.

Wednesday - One Step Equations. Groups AF: Complete Worksheet "Take the Next Step". Both Sides. All other groups: Daffy Decoder Worksheet. Both Sides.

Thursday - One Step Equations Continued. Complete Worksheet: "Why did the Elephant" - both sides.

Friday- Classwork only. One Step Equations. Worksheet "Why did the Vampire" - Both sidkes. NO HOMEWORK OVER HOLIDAYS!

Tuesday - Evaluating Expression. Complete Variable expressions worksheet.

Wednesday - Evaluating Expressions Day 2. Complete Worksheet

Thursday - Writing Expressions. Identifying words that mean mathematical operations. Complete Worksheet "Writing Expression from words/phrases." Questions 1 - 16.

Friday - Write expressions, write verbal expression, evaluate expression (Kuta Software Worksheet) - due Monday, Dec 17th.

December 3rd:

Monday: Due today - Unit 2 Test Review Packet. To complete in class and study Monday evening.

Tuesday: Unit 2 Test. No Homework.

Wednesday: Multiplication Table & Percent to Decimal to Fraction Worksheet in class. Homework due Thursday: Write and equation that represents a proportional relationship, answer questions and draw graph.

Thursday: Begin Unit 3. Expressions and Equations. Complete "What is an expression/evaluate expressions Worksheet". Due Friday.

Friday: Writing expressions from words/phrases. Complete worksheet.

Wednesday - M&M exercise in class. (Ratios/Proportions/Percents.) Homework / Worksheet "Why Didn't Dexter Want..." (To reinforce percent to fractions and back)

Thursday - Classwork - Complete tables to equations and graph one. Homework: Students are to write an equation representing a proportional relationship, identify x and y values, complete a table of 5 x values and resulting y values. And graph.

Friday - Using Proportions to solve tax, tip and discount problems. Handout to complete as homework.

**Mid term exams will be given late January. A basic four function calculator may be used on some sections of exam. This would be a great gift to give your student so they can get familiar with it prior to exam. An inexpensive one is the Casio SL-300. Scientific and graphing calculators may NOT be used ... so be sure it's a basic 4 function calculator.**December 10th:
